Student Library Assistant - ILS - Borrowing

Duties: Assists the borrowing staff in receiving and returning materials borrowed from other libraries (mostly books, but also microfilm, microfiche, CD’s, etc.). Retrieves patron-returned books from Circulation, checks them in and sends overdue notices using the ILLiad system.
Prints book slips and labels and matches them with books for returning to lending libraries. Prepares materials for FedEx when necessary. Retrieves incoming books from courier drop-box. Sorts and desensitizes incoming books delivered from the mail room.
Qualifications: Previous clerical experience, including typing skills and computer knowledge. Attention to detail. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. Ability to work independently in a busy environment. Prefer sophomore or older with good GPA.
Hours/Days of Employment: 10 hours per week, 2 hours each day M-F between 8:30 and 11:00 a.m.
