Use the UT Libraries Catalog to determine if we have a book, periodical, video, or other resource, its call number, and its location in the library. Click on the 'Find Items' link to determine if the item is available for check out.

Articles

To identify articles on psychology and related topics, use one or more indexing and abstracting services. Some services also index dissertations, books and book chapters, conference papers, and/or association papers. Most of the UTK databases are restricted to use by faculty, staff, and students at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Psychology and Social Sciences Databases

  • HAPI (Health & Psychosocial Instruments)
  • Assists in the identification of measurement and evaluation instruments found in the health and psychosocial literature.

  • Medline (via PubMed), 1966-
  • Provides international coverage of the literature of medicine.

  • Mental Measurements Yearbook, 1989-
  • Provides information about standardized tests that are included in the printed Mental Measurements Yearbook (beginning with the 9th edition).

  • PsycARTICLES
  • Provides full-text of articles from journals published by the American Psychological Association, Canadian Psychological Association, and Hogrefe Publishing Group. Most titles begin with volume 1.

  • PsycINFO, 1887-
  • Provides international coverage of the literature of psychology and related disciplines.

  • Social Sciences Abstracts, 1983-
  • An index to primary scholarly journals in the social sciences. For coverage prior to 1983, use the print version. Ref. AI3.S62.

  • Social Sciences Citation Index (Web of Science), 1956-
  • An index covering scholarly literature in the social sciences. Allows searching of cited references. Access to Science Citation Index and Arts & Humanities Citation Index also available in Web of Science.

  • Other Psychology and Health Sciences databases.
