- AccuWeather: The World's Weather Authority
- Begun in 1962 as a one man weather forecasting service, AccuWeather is now self-described as the world's largest commercial weather service. In addition to U.S. and worldwide city forecasts, they offer a wide range of educational and commercial services. Many major newspapers, including USA Today, rely on AccuWeather for their weather information.
- The Farmer's Almanac
- The web version of The Old Farmer's Almanac, a well-known reference book. Among the features are: long-range weather forecasts, dates and locations of solar and lunar eclipses, days of the full moon, and rise and set times of the sun and moon.
- Intellicast
- A leading commercial weather data provider. Distinctive as a premier online weather site for outdoor recreation enthusiasts, including golfers, boaters and sailors.
- National Weather Service
- The U.S. government's site for local, national, and international weather, which includes some historical data. Of particular interest is a listing of all the active weather warnings in effect in the U.S.
- Weather Channel
- From the well-known cable TV Weather Channel people. Provides access to current conditions and forecasts for U.S. cities and towns, as well as most other regions of the world. Offers info on airport delays, skiers forecasts, and many weather tidbits and curiosities.
- Weather Underground
- One of the first providers of real-time weather information on the Internet, the Weather Underground has now evolved from UM-Weather (University of Michigan) to a commercial site. Their strength is the fast, easy interface. Weather Underground provides forecasts for the U.S. and the World, including weather maps, graphics, radar images, and a variety of other interesting features.
- World Cities Weather--CNN
- Weather forecasts for hundreds of cities around the world. Divided by Africa, Europe, Australia & New Zealand, Middle East, Asia, China, South America, Canada, Mexico & Central America, and the Caribbean.
